This position supports a government contractJob Description:We are seeking a seeking an experienced Military Data Subject Matter Expert to join our large DOD program team. As a Data SME, your expertise in Data Science, Data Visualization, and Data Engineering will be pivotal in shaping the future of our data-driven capabilities.Military Data Subject Matter Experts conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support a wide variety of military activities, including acquisition, combat operations, system development, logistics, and force design. They use scientific and mathematical methods to collect, record, store, and analyze data. Data analysts may utilize artificial intelligence methods and/or apply algorithms to solve complex problems, conduct risk analyses, and run combat simulations.Job Requirements:- Support data initiatives by guiding the development of automations, improving data quality, and creating visually compelling data analytics.- Provide actionable insights to defense leadership and decision-makers.- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-phased digital enterprise solutions through a focus on process analysis, data transformation, and pragmatic change management.- Lead data driven decision making utilizing data analysis and statistical modeling techniques to support evidence-based decision-making.- Leverage historical and predictive analytics to predict trends, identify potential cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.- Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of different courses of action and identify effective strategies to achieve organizational goals.- Implement performance metrics that align to DoD Principal Staff Assistant objectives, enabling continuous evaluation of executive effectiveness.- Lead the coordination of requirements meetings or conduct requirements workshops and sessions, with business and stakeholders.Desired Qualifications:- TS/SCI clearance is required- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a military Data Subject Matter Expert or related role, with demonstrated experience with digital strategy, IT project management, enterprise architecture, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), or transformation.- Knowledge of Qlik/Qlik Sense, QVD/QlikView, and Qlik Production Application Standards (QPAS) is a significant plus.- High level of proficiency in Python, DataBricks, SQL, Spark, and other Data Engineering and Data Science tools.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.- Must be in the DC Metro area and available to work onsite (Pentagon, Crystal City, VA and Alexandria, VA) 2-3 days per week.Preferred Qualifications:- Recent DoD or IC-related experience.- Previous experience with Advana is a plus.Arena Technical Resources, LLC, (ATR) is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) who will provide equal employment opportunity to employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, veteran status, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family structure, genetic information, or mental or physical disabilityAn Equal OpportunityEmployer M/F/D/VJobCategoryOtherJobID16421JobTitleMilitary Data SMEJobLocationArlington, VirginiaHourlyPay Rate-AnnualPay Rate-#Required1ApplyToNMB@atr.com
