Financial Business System Manager

We are seeking a bright, motivated, new co-owner, with accounting and finance business systems experience, to join our team as a Manager, Finance Applications and Systems.

As a Finance Applications and Systems Manager, you will lead the development, implementation and administration of the company’s financial business systems. This role serves as the department’s business expert on financial systems, internal controls and finance-related processes. This role must demonstrate strong leadership and collaborative skills within a cross-functional environment to ensure the successful completion of organization-wide initiatives. As an advocate for the Finance organization, this role must provide timely analysis/updates on programs/projects, process improvement efforts, and business cases and tactfully challenge assumptions as necessary. The ideal candidate must be self-directed, results-oriented and focused on continuous process improvement. In addition, this role must drive adherence to all NSSC finance policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls, general accepted accounting principles and regulatory statutes. This is a high-profile role, with significant career growth opportunities working with and reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer.

The Job:

Finance lead for the selection, installation, conversion, upgrade, and improvement of information systems within the department and organization.Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, and alignment across functions and broader organizational strategies.Finance lead on initiatives around system upgrades, application configurations, reporting and various finance related process improvement initiatives.Assist internal clients in the development and implementation of business process improvements.Leverage knowledge of key business processes that impact the company to help increase and drive value through the organization.Subject Matter expert on finance and accounting structure and how it relates to business support and reporting. Working knowledge of current general ledger structure and how it interrelates with managerial reporting and incentive compensation metrics.Keeps internal and/or external customer(s) in mind at all times. Strives to proactively address customer concerns and needs. Assists business partners and customers to achieve their work goals via application of their own skills and knowledge; strives to provide consistent customer satisfaction.Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, sales, and operational functions of our organization; interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better corporate decisions.Maintains knowledge of our incentive compensation metrics and ensures that reporting aligns with incentive structure to provide accurate and timely information.Maintains an understanding of sales and use tax requirements and implications on customers as well as procurement practices.Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, MBA preferred, CPA required10+ years of experience in manufacturing services cost accounting principles and sales and financial analytics.5+ years supervising and directing the work of team members.Excited and passionate about learning, collaborating and problem solving as a valued member of a team.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.Experience and strong proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView, including data visualization, dashboard development, and report automation.Familiarity with developing, documenting, and training on processes and procedures, including the use or Visio or other visualization tools for process mapping.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with a passion to drive collaboration cross-functionally.Solid understanding of cross-functional implications amongst accounting, operations, and sales.Proven comprehension and ability to apply foundational corporate finance techniques to measure financial performance/returns, month-end close procedures, and strong command of US GAAP.
