Lead the design and implementation of DevOps practices and principles across the organization.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating the build, test, and deployment of applications.Build and deploy software releases and patches.Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing, catching and solving issues before launch.Automate the operational processes as needed, with accuracy and compliance with our security requirements.Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices.Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on the GCP platform.Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system stability and performance.Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.Implement and manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.Lead efforts to improve security practices and implement security controls across environments.Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and best practices.Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps and cloud computing.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related degree, or related work experience.6+ years of experience with RHEL Linux and networking.3+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or related roles.Strong experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD.Expertise in automation scripting using Groovy, Python, and Bash.In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Rancher, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Docker Certified Associate (DCA), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional, or related certifications are a plus.Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.Proficient with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.6+ years of relevant experience in SME IT roles.Global Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.Global Payments provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, genetic information or any other basis protected by law.
