** Hub Operator I - System Support Specialist (Portland, OR)****Job Category****:** Technical **Requisition Number****:** HUBOP006025 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description****Job Summary:**United Tote is a leading software technology and service provider for the gaming industry, backed by the integrity and tradition of Churchill Downs, home of the world-famous Kentucky Derby. This is an entry level role integral to the 24/7 operations of United Tote. The applicant will be a critical part of the team which is responsible for providing positive customer experiences by handling issues and requests submitted by email and phone, monitoring wagering systems in real-time and troubleshooting issues for all of United Totes customers around the globe.**Essential Functions:*** Responsible for creating a positive customer experience by professionally, accurately and efficiently answering, documenting and resolving incoming calls from customers with questions and/or requests for assistance in troubleshooting of communication equipment, racing software and betting terminals.* Proactively monitor error logs, system alerts, and communication networks and report errors per guidelines including escalation based on established protocols.* Maintain racing calendar and details for all global pari-mutuel race track events in race schedule system, including validating the accuracy of data.* As part of the final step in quality assurance process, perform user acceptance testing for new tote software versions.* Efficiently and accurately complete system configuration requests as assigned.* Act as a project team member for assigned projects.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Qualifications:*** **Required**+ Independent self-starter with proven self-motivation and the ability to work professionally and collaboratively with others.+ Strong technical aptitude with good trouble shooting skills.+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities with a proven ability to pay close attention to details.+ Ability to commit to a 4 day work week with 10 hour shifts (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat), floating holidays, and flexibility to work on the three Triple Crown Race days and Breeders Cup weekend.+ Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED.+ Ability to obtain racing licenses as required by state law and pass a background check.+ Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.+ Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.+ Some travel may be required.* **Preferred**+ Associate or Bachelors degree in Information Technology or similar field.+ Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems and Printer configurations.+ Some experience working as a technical Service Desk agent.**Physical Demands:**The following physical and mental demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
