Techstra is seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance/MDM Lead with Banking experience as well as domain knowledge to bridge IT Engineering and the business needs for technical requirements, data correlation and data analysis. The Data Governance/MDM Lead is a highly technical person with strong SQL skills to support data governance and data quality initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Consult with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and data needs Drive and build out valuable, high impact, high visibility business use cases With your working knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices, support and elevate Data Lineage strategy with a view to integrating data quality and controls so that internal stakeholders are able to interact with the data they care most about, in a holistic and intuitive way Write and run SQL queries for data analysis, inquiry and extraction Leverage data models to visualize data structure, physical and logical data models and complex source data Demonstrates ability to understand data attributes across complex systems Contribute to the continual improvement of the business's data and analytic solutions, processes and data engineering capabilities. Interpret business needs and rapidly implements effective technical solutions Create technical design documents, test plans and supporting materials Key Qualifications:
Experienced hands-on Data and Metadata Management, from concept to implementation with a demonstrable track record of delivery. 10-15 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in a management preferred. Experience over operational activities (business analysis, testing, etc.), reference data and/or enterprise data management or data governance preferred Must have experience with Collibra Working knowledge of data governance frameworks, best practices and how they are effectively supported by good products, in particular Metadata Management, Data Lineage but also data quality, data privacy, data use and records retention Experience with Data Governance applications and tools such as Informatica Data Catalog, ASG, Solidatus, Pellustro are nice to have Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure. You will have strong analytical and management skills, are familiar with Agile methodology and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution. The ability to apply backlog prioritization to define sprint goals and enable iterative deliveries is key. Experience with complex data structures and ingestion methodologies Strong experience in Data Analysis and modeling preferably in a shared or enterprise data environment (Oracle database) Inquisitive and resourceful- not afraid to network within the organizations to ask relevant questions Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of individuals with varying technical skills Experience in using business tools such as Jira and Confluence for task planning, tracking and documentation needs Team builder and facilitator of cross team discussions with proven ability to identify and remove roadblocks and resolve issues Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
