Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our small, super talented, and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in modern frontend and backend web technologies, with an emphasis on React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and GraphQL. You should have experience building ground-up consumer products on web and mobile, as well as API-level services that power them. You should have experience collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and data engineers. You should know the mechanics and constraints of integrating with data/ML/analytics pipelines. You should have a keen sense of how to build with security & privacy first, using modern DevOps practices.
Your responsibility will be to build and deliver our core products in collaboration with other engineers and designers, ensuring quality, reliability, and great user experience with every step along the way. You will be building the platforms and end-to-end experiences that will form the core of everything we do at Atypical.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure backend services and the rich, beautiful, human-centered experiences that use them.Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript, and backend services using Python and GraphQL.Work alongside a talented team of entrepreneurs, engineers, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to deeply understand requirements, design architectures to fit current and future needs, communicate scope and tradeoffs, and implement features.Integrate your systems with our data pipelines and services and large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, and utilize machine learning models for inference purposes as requiredBuild clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented products and supporting architectures, with continuous testing and monitoring capabilities at their coreCollaborate with the team to troubleshoot, debug and fix issues in production systems.Mentor and guide junior developers, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to the best practices.Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Python, and GraphQL and a love for building vertically within the stack.Experience integrating with large language models (LLMs) is highly desirable.A desire to immerse yourself and engage with customers and users to deeply understand their problems and context, and to incorporate their feedback into the design processExcellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficient and performant solutions.Well-practiced experience with end-to-end testing, unit testing, and production monitoring of your code.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
