About the Role
You will be working with an experienced team of technologists and product developers who know the market and have previously succeeded in this space. You will use your experience and ingenuity to develop and deploy scalable environments that support remote access to cloud-based computer labs. Your technical expertise will be vital for problem-solving and troubleshooting customer requests and trouble tickets.
Experience with both cloud infrastructure and system automation is required. Ideal candidates will have some software development background.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, monitor, and manage eLumin's core platform infrastructureDesign and develop automation pipelines/scripts for orchestrating cloud infrastructure, Unix systems, and Windows systemsActively participate in high-level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluationsIndependence to manage day to day activities with minimal supervision and be capable to escalate and drive issues to resolution when requiredCreate and support internal documentation and handoffs to other teamsQuickly and efficiently troubleshoot simple and complex issues in order to provide outstanding supportPerform other related responsibilities as requiredQualifications5+ years of engineering experience in building production infrastructure using infrastructure as code principles5+ years of experience managing Linux and/or WindowsStrong experience in AWS cloud workloads, especially VPC, EC2, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and LambdaExperience with DevSecOps for designing, developing, and delivering using appropriate automation techniques/tools including Ansible, Python, Git, Puppet, and Chef and scripting languages to automate tasks including Bash, Python, and PowerShellExperience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes, or SwarmDeep understanding of Unix-based and Windows environmentsStrong planning, execution, and analytical skills
