Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to design, implement and test firmware for critical components of our Humanoid.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design, implement and test firmware in C or C++ for critical components such as motor controllers, battery management systems and sensing hardwareDefine a strategy to facilitate reuse of the code base and tools used to develop firmware on different hardware platformsDevelop Python tools to support test automation or hardware calibrationContribute to the development of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructureSupport hardware/software integration in the labRequirements:
5+ years of engineering experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fieldMastery of C, C++, Python and LinuxExperience implementing low level software on bare-metal systems and RTOSGood knowledge of computer architectureDeep understanding of communication buses and protocols like Ethernet, Ethercat, Serial, CAN or USBComfortable using lab instruments (Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers...) and debugging tools (Lauterbach...)Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with motor controllers or battery management systemsExperience implementing CI/CD infrastructuresFamiliar with Agile and Test driven development
