Description

Manages large project efforts and is responsible for successful completion. Creates project structure and timelines. Implements existing and new project processes to ensure success. Is responsible for project outcome, communication, implementation, costs, and acceptance. Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management:Plans project resources and feasibility studies to provide ROI for projects to determine benefitsTrack project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goalsMeet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysisDevelop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders and project teamAssembles project team and allocates team resources as necessaryCoordinating internal resources and vendors for successful execution of projectsAssists teams and groups on data and process improvement projects, and enables inter-group collaboration.Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, assigning, scheduling, and coordinating projects.Manages the communication of projects, tasks, and changes to applicable business groupsAccountable for the implementation and acceptance phases of projects assignedMeets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.Enhances the reputation of department and organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing a wide variety of project assignmentsProvides expertise and advice to teams to increase efficiencyCoordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriatelyRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms a variety of tasks in which a degree of creativity and latitude is requiredProvide clear documentation of all key decisions and project management deliverables during and after projectCoordinate with other departments as needed to plan short and long-term projectsMiscellaneous:

Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requestedWeekend and after hours work as necessaryRegular attendance as requiredPerforms additional duties and assignments as requestedQualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Business Administration, or related disciplineExperience:

5+ years of project management experience3+ years of relevant IT experienceSkills/Abilities:

Principles and best practices from PMI-PMBOKProject proposalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInterpret and apply laws, regulations and policiesWork for extended time at keyboard/terminalMaintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkersWork flexible hours, including weekends and eveningsSubject matter expertise on project management and coordinationAgile project methodsThe Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Software testing / regression testingChange managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
