Altus Consulting is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to analyze, design, and implement security solutions across various client environments. You will collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure comprehensive cyber defense and deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and exceed security objectives.
Responsibilities:
Analyze security requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, implement, and test security solutions using industry-standard methodologies and tools.
Monitor and assess security posture, identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities.
Respond to and remediate security incidents effectively and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members on security assessments, incident response, and threat intelligence.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.
Document security processes and procedures for future reference.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of cyber security operations and processes.
May support vulnerability management, security awareness training, and compliance initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for cyber security and continuous learning.
Experience with security frameworks and methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF).
Experience with security tools and technologies (SIEM, EDR, SOAR).
Experience with incident response practices and remediation techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with poly clearance is required.
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in cyber security operations and analysis.
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.
