Summary The Senior IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support of a Windows-based system ona worldwide Microsoft Active Directory and Citrix environment, including all computer, hardware, andcorporate software within the organization. Roles and Responsibilities Help Desk / Desktop Support• Responsible for IT support and IT management of offices in New York and Houston.• Provide technical support including, but not limited to, all types of IT hardware andcorporate software.• Prioritize, assign, and respond to all incoming service requests according to internalprocedures.• Use Global Service Desk software to manage assigned workload and update the servicerequest with detailed resolution.• Assist and train users on IT corporate software.• Assist Human Resources in the onboarding process by providing new hire orientation on theorganization's IT standards and processes.• Work with a global team to implement consistent IT standards, IT Service Desk, commonprocedures, and ensure high levels of security and system availability.• Maintain the internal Wiki with procedures, documentation and the internal knowledgebase with issue resolution.• Operate video conferencing equipment and setup VC meetings upon request.• Provide mobile device support for Android/IOS as well as experience with provisioningservice and coordinating with carriers.• Assist System and Security Group as well as Service Desk Group, which are located remotelyin Geneva. Management Information Systems • Deliver, set up, and configure end-user thin client, desktop, and laptop hardware, software,printers, MFC, and various peripherals.• Maintain and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, computer peripherals, and AVsystems.• Support and maintain user account information and groups in the Active Directory.• Support and maintain the Wireless Internet hotspot.• Support and maintain the IT room facilities, i.e. UPS, HVAC, etc.• Communicate and assist the Network Engineer on LAN/WAN network operations, Cisco VoIPsystem, and IP phone operations.• Communicate and assist the System Engineers on local Windows Server and VDI operations.• Monitor system and network performance.• Support and maintain local IT infrastructure with limited services.IT Administration• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports for IT management on operationsoutcomes while maintaining records of activities.• Monitor IT budget expenditures.• Liaise with vendors and providers, and work with them to support the organization's ITneeds.• Manage and negotiate IT-related purchases and contracts, and complete purchaserequisitions.• Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software assets.• Provide recommendation on IT services and security aspects.Required Education and Experience• 7 or more years of experience in a mix of technical field support, help desk, andadministration roles in ITKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Excellent technical skills with minimum 2-7 years' experience with server virtualization(VMware 6.X), desktop virtualization (Citrix 7.12), network administration with Windows 7,Windows server 2012, Ms Exchange 2010, Active Directory environment, andLAN/WAN Cisco VoIP networks.• Must be organized and detail-oriented.• Self-starter with the ability to initiate and complete assignments accurately and on time,with minimal supervision.• Excellent client service and client interaction (via phone, e-mail, and face-to-face) skillsrequired.• Client-focused and responsive; able to provide high service delivery levels.• Positive and constructive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and within ateam environment.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be prompt andcourteous.• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution.• Experience providing mobile device support for Android/iOS as well as experience withprovisioning service and coordinating with carriers.• Good knowledge of IT standards, practices, principles, and security aspects.• Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware certifications a plus.Supervisory ResponsibilityNone Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard officeequipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm.
