Cybersecurity Manager

The GBS Group has an exciting opportunity for an Information System Security Manager (ISSM). As an ISSM with GBS, you will work both independently and with a team of cyber professionals, engineers and computer analysts on complex projects related to next generation Naval ship platforms. The position will analyze systems, and cyber solutions to develop models of systems using agile techniques while utilizing professional leadership skills and assisting in the creation of Cyber-based solutions. The position will also contribute real value by developing, troubleshooting and testing of solutions providing software/hardware security of Naval platforms.

Cybersecurity support to the various in-service Navy platforms to ensure the platform's Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) networks and enclaves have the proper situational awareness to detect cyber incident and the platform's HM&E Systems are cyber hardened. Tasking will includes:Review, evaluate comment and lead to correct system cybersecurity controlsPerform engineering reviews of system and platform cybersecurity design including security plans, risk assessments, contingency plans and configuration plans.Evaluate proposed cybersecurity solution in Naval Control SystemsPropose viable alternative solutions to cybersecurity problemsGuide system engineers though cyber testing processes and determining cybersecurity of systemsLead effort to collect and respond to data calls for systems operating in assigned HM&E enclaves and networksTrack cybersecurity improvements proposed and deployed throughout ship class for the assigned HM&E enclaves and networksTrack cybersecurity certification status for all systems deployed to the assigned HM&E enclaves and networksCollect, track and maintain technical information regarding for system operating in their assigned HM&E enclaves and networksLead and/or work with other team members to produce relevant cybersecurity products such as white papers, and plans.Interact with subject matter experts as needed to investigate proposed cybersecurity solutionsTrack and report status on assigned workActively participate in team and Program meetings as necessaryGenerate documentation work products associated with work performedPotential travel to attend meetings with sponsors.Qualifications

Candidates for this position must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Systems EngineeringMinimum 1 years' experience onboard Naval shipsPossess or working towards Cybersecurity certifications such as CASP, CAP, Security+, or other applicable commercial cybersecurity certificationMinimum 3 years' experience in the industrial control systems or marine system design, implementation or support.Minimum 1 year experience with basic cybersecurity implementation in control systems.Familiar with control system component functionality and modular design.Knowledgeable of the network architecture components and industrial network protocolsMust have or able to acquire a Secret Security ClearancePhysical / Mental Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Basic math computational skillsAbility to work in confined spaces and in extreme temperatures.Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the (Naval/ Maritime) facility or shipMust be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend in order to reach all areas of the facility.Must be able to work in and on overhead structures, as well as below machinery.Requires kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
