Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and cleared Data Engineer to join our team in support of government projects in Reston, VA. This critical role focuses on the development, implementation, and optimization of data-driven solutions and algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Python and PyTorch, experience with Flask, and a solid understanding of REST APIs. A background in statistics and a basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate mission needs into technical requirements.Triage and troubleshoot data issues.Prepare task plans, documentation, and reports on activities.Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Manage sensitive data transfer and handling.Coordinate with technical teams across organizational boundaries.Document and communicate technical and non-technical requirements.Plan and coordinate program management activities (e.g., reviews, boards, and meetings).Provide support in technical writing, editing, and integration.Track and ensure the completion of action items.Define user requirements for analysts or operational customers.Requirements

Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.Knowledge of Flask with the ability to become proficient quickly.Familiarity with REST APIs.Background/experience in statistics.Basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP).Preferred Skills and Experiences:

Experience in developing, deploying, and evaluating testing and verification methodologies for algorithm performance.Experience with NLP, CNNs, LLMs, or foundational models.Proficiency in deploying machine learning models on multimedia data.Linux System Administration and scripting (bash).Android configuration, software development, and interfacing experience.Experience with embedded systems (e.g., Raspberry Pi).Benefits
