The Team
Our Cloud Engineering team collaborates with our architects to design and build our foundational cloud components and frameworks. Through innovation and engineering excellence, we forge the path to harness the power of the cloud for all of Asset Management's engineers.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated DevOps Engineer to drive our development, testing, and observability automation maturity forward! In this role, you will collaborate with multiple engineering teams and our engineering leaders to shape the direction. Every day, you will have hands-on interaction with AWS cloud services and CI/CD tools, putting that direction into action.
The Expertise and Skills You Have
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) 5+ years of software engineering experience Certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS SysOps Administrator Passion for excellence, automation, innovation and collaboration Eager to learn new technologies, ways of working, and to adapt every day. Bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, injecting new points of view to the team Ability to triage, complete root cause analysis, and be decisive under pressure Ability to creatively tackle new, interesting problems in a dynamic environment Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Detailed knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, Code Version Control Tools (like Stash and Github), Defect tracking tools (like JIRA), CI/CD tools (like Jenkins), Repository management tools (like Artifactory) and popular build tools like Setuptools and Maven Familiarity with building, packaging and deployment practices (like blue-green deployment) in cloud environment. Experience supporting and building operational tools for complex, distributed, highly concurrent computing systems. Hands-on experience writing code with scripting languages (e.g. bash, Unix, Python, Groovy, Unix, Ansible). Ability to apply automation to application releases, testing, deployment, infrastructure, and instrumentation Strong hands-on experience using Amazon Web Services (primarily Configuration Management, Infrastructure as code, Serverless, Compute, and Database services) preferred; Certification a plus. Hands-on experience with containers and container orchestration preferred Demonstrated success in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and exposure to Pipeline As Code and Infrastructure as Code. Ability to work with observability tools like Datadog and advance our built out monitoring via SLIs and SLOs of critical investment workflows Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins Ability to build automated solutions that interact with APIs of tools and frameworks that support our products Significant role in shaping how our products are developed and deployed in an optimized automated CI/CD pipeline ensuring high quality Building quality solutions that align best practices to solve business problems by driving design, development, and ongoing support. Demonstrated experience in Kubernetes and Helm
