Overview:

Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Staff Information Systems Engineer, MS Windows to join our dynamic and expanding organization. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader within the IT organization, collaborating cross-functionally and with senior leadership to enhance performance and employee efficiency. Your responsibilities will include designing, presenting, troubleshooting, and implementing Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions. This position reports to the Director IT Operations.Millions of people experience Synaptics every day. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.Responsibilities:Job DutiesDesign, implement, and support Microsoft Suite of products to including but not limited to Office 365, Windows Server and related cloud technologiesProvide support on Microsoft 365 best practices and features related to Active DirectoryProvide expertise in Exchange Admin Center (EAC) and Exchange PowerShell scripting/cmdletsManage and support SMTP relay solutionsManage and support Secure Email Gateway (SEG) solutionsProvide extensive research, testing, troubleshooting and deployment background for developing and managing new solutionsManage O365 subscriptions, Microsoft licensing and user managementEnsure the security and compliance of Microsoft 365 environments, including Active DirectoryTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 environments, including Active DirectoryManage and support Microsoft Outlook and application configurations/protocols for Exchange and Exchange OnlineDevelop and maintain technical documentation related to configuration, troubleshoot guides, user guides, FAQs, etc.Implement and manage security-related services, procedures, and protocols in accordance with enterprise standards, business requirements and best practicesAdhere to enterprise change management guidelines and proceduresCollaborate with other IT professionals, such as network engineers and security analysts, to ensure seamless integration with existing systemsCompetenciesDeep understanding of identity not limited to Azure Active Directory, on-premises Active Directory, and integration of these directories.Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills (in English)Ability to be flexible and work with a fast paced and dynamic organizationStrong customer service attitude and ability to work well with othersCollaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills to work with leaders across organizational and technical domains.Excellent written and verbal social skills to run effectively across cultures and geographiesProactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to complete projects on time with minimal guidanceWell organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accuratePositive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideasResourceful and able to solve complex problems through adaptation of existing technology and investigation of new technology to resolve complex problemsGood analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work within a diverse teamQualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering or related field or equivalent12 years experience with Microsoft technologies with progressive growthExperience as an architect / team lead in similar environmentSolid track record of assessing business needs, developing creative approaches, determining appropriate courses of action, and implementing solutionsHands on Experience with Active Directory Management, O365, AD Domain Migration, Group Policies, permissions, and security/Experience with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, OneDrive.Experience in cloud (AWS) or on-premises server virtualization (VMware),Experience with designing and implementing AWS AD ConnectorExperience working in a hybrid environment (AWS and On-Prem)No travel requiredBelief in DiversitySynaptics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
