United States Refugee Program (USRAP) Business Advocate
Mid/Computer Systems Analyst supporting the Department of State managed United States Refugee Admissions Program, you will be trusted to work on a variety of tasks supporting the USRAP ensuring refugees are properly screened while looking at ways to create efficiencies to a variety of business processes. USRAP Business Advocates work closely with Resettlement Support Centers (RSCs), PRM, Refugee Operations at the Refugee Processing Center and other external stakeholders to support development of the START. START is a cloud-based case management system and reporting tool that assists in managing refugee processing activities. RSC Business Advocates ensure they work within and across collaborative environments both internally and externally to train users and to document stakeholder policy, procedures, processes and needs.In this role, a typical day will include:Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Refugee ProcessingDocument requirements, process models and other artifacts to be used in development of STARTLead trainings, presentations, elicitation sessions, conferences calls, webinars and other tools and technologies to gather and disseminate information with domestic and international partnersAdd to Product Backlogs and communicate user needs to multiple stakeholdersCoordinate and facilitate exchange meetings to determine needs of customers; as well as to determine the impact of changesProvides input for documentation on new or existing systems/business processesSupport the collection and reporting of requirements related metricsProvide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staffMaintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedParticipate in special projects as assignedTravel required to better understand refugee processing in the START application and maintain user expertiseWHAT YOU’LL NEED:A Bachelors Degree4+ Years
