They are responsible for optimizing our deployment pipelines and driving innovations in our application development lifecycle. This person demonstrates a profound knowledge of modern application development stacks, with an emphasis in the mobile space and in applications, and services built in Python frameworks. As a Senior Engineer, this position works closely with a team of developers and contractors, ensuring seamless, efficient, and effective integration and deployment processes. Proficiency in both AWS and Google Cloud platforms is essential.Key Result Areas (KRAs)Oversee the CI/CD Pipeline management and development:Spearhead the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications and Python-based servicesManage, monitor, and optimize AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performanceImplement automation tools and frameworks to optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance development processesFacilitate interdepartmental collaboration and serve as a mentor for the DevOps team:Collaborate closely with development teams to improve application development and deployment processesLead and mentor the DevOps team, ensuring knowledge transfer, best practices, and consistent methodologiesTrain users, create training manuals, and provide user support and feedbackRecommend product enhancements based on user feedback and possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matterMonitor industry trends to ensure compliance and security standards are met:Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practicesSet up monitoring, logging, and alerting for early issue detection and resolutionStay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and practicesJob QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a proven track record in mobile application development and Python environmentsExpertise in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and/or AzureSolid experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like KubernetesStrong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, etcFamiliarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormationUnderstanding of monitoring and alerting platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stackStrong automation skills scripting in languages like Bash, Python, or similar and experience in the usage of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or similarExcellent communication and leadership skillsExperience integrating project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence with development processes and delivery pipelines is a plusPreferred certifications: AWS, GCP, ITIL, Net+Location Requirement:This position is based in Phoenix, AZCompetenciesAdaptableInitiativeCollaborativeCommunicationEffective PrioritizationFunctional and Tech.
