eDiscovery Project Manager

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an eDiscovery Project Manager to join their team. In this role, the Project Manager will consult with case teams to develop and implement eDiscovery Project Plans, ensuring adherence to firm protocols and standard procedures. You will act as the primary point of contact for eDiscovery and litigation support issues, liaising between legal teams, technical staff, vendors, and consultants. Additionally, you will oversee the creation of statistical reports, design workflows, and manage vendor relationships. This role is for a Project Manager with hands-on experience in analytics/AI/TAR. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, significant eDiscovery project management experience, and knowledge of industry analytics solutions. Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Consult with case teams to effectively develop and apply technical strategies, requirements and goals to create and implement eDiscovery Project Plans, including data collection, processing, review, production and trial support.Develop and adhere to Firm protocol to properly document eDiscovery project plans including workflows, role and task assignments, estimates, timetables, and process improvements.Ensure standard procedures for eDiscovery and litigation support projects are consistently applied.Monitor and adjust procedures to comply with Risk Management policies effectively.Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for eDiscovery and litigation support issues between legal teams, eDiscovery Resource Management group, technical staff, vendors, and discovery consultants to ensure proper communication between all parties.Consult with client's General Counsel and their Information Technology group regarding technical and logistical issues related to eDiscovery.Develop cost estimates and advise on maximizing efficiencies and cost reductions.Evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective use of firm and client resources to institutionalize and apply lessons learned regarding each project.May assist the legal team with some technical components of trial preparation.Oversee the creation of statistical reports providing information on collection, filtering, processing, review, and production.Design workflows and oversee managed review projects to provide efficient and effective workflows while providing daily reports.Develop eDiscovery data processing and production specifications for vendors to comply with legal requirements.Lead planning and implementation of eDiscovery Resource Management group’s internal operational initiatives for process improvement and standardization.Resource Management

Promote and encourage legal teams to leverage internal and external resources through all phases of eDiscovery.Consult with legal team and clients on the selection of appropriate eDiscovery vendor and software solutions; encourage the use of and market, the firm’s managed services offering with preferred vendors.Delegate appropriate workflow tasks to analysts and vendors, including data management, processing, production, and quality control.Train case teams on all litigation support technology and workflows offered internally and act as a key training contact for the life of a matter on external litigation support technology.Oversee the entire vendor lifecycle, including bid process, project execution, error resolution, pricing, and invoice management.All invoices for services rendered to the firm by vendors must be reviewed, approved, and submitted for payment within 30 days of receipt.Ideal Candidate

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree or significant relevant experience required. JD Preferred.Some eDiscovery project management experience is required.Some experience in eDiscovery consulting required.Some law firm experience working across multiple offices is preferred.Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.Technical Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of Application Service Providers (ASPs) and their tools with a focus on Relativity.Proficient with industry analytics solutions, e.g. Relativity Analytics, Brainspace, NexLP. Consult on implementation of TAR and advanced analytics to present data trends and efficiencies in workflow.Comprehensive understanding of how databases work. Demonstrated skill in manipulating database load files.Understanding of information technology and network infrastructure.Ability to effectively manage technical issues with eDiscovery and Litigation Support providers.Expected salary for this role is up to $180,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
