About The Role
GoodRx is looking for extremely passionate and curious data engineers, who are deft at working with a wide variety of languages, such as Python and SQL, a variety of raw data formats, such as parquet JSON & Kafka topics, in a fast-paced and friendly environment. You will collaborate and work with teams across GoodRx to build outstanding data pipelines and processes that stitch together complex sets of data stores in order to guide marketing decisions. Also as the Principal Data Engineer, you will lead design and development of enhanced data pipeline services. Your will enable a smooth customer and developer experience, exposing data components for direct to customer use or as components for new product development. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the data science and analytics team to develop high performance analytics, data model and ML solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, data analysts and engineers to define features needed for a Data PlatformProvide mentorship and technical leadership for a teamWork closely with other engineers to scale infrastructure, improve reliability and efficiencyImprove developer tooling with a focus on reliability and efficiencyWrite good technical documentationPerform large system upgrades and migrationsMaintenance and improvement of multiple CI/CD pipelinesAct as an in-house data expert who makes recommendations regarding standards for code quality and pipeline architectureDevelop, deploy and maintain data processing pipelines using cloud technology such as AWS, Kubernetes, Lambda, Kafka, Airflow, Redshift, S3, Glue, and EMRMake smart engineering and infra decisions based on data auditing and collaborationLead and architect cloud-based data infrastructure solutions to meet stakeholder needsSkills & Qualifications:10+ years of experience in data engineering on distributed frameworks such as Spark, Databricks, Kafka Streams, Hadoop etc10+ years experience in engineering data pipelines using data technologies (Python, pySpark, Airflow) on large scale data setsExperience with one of the cloud environments - AWS, GCPExperience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data setsExperience building or maintaining a Data Platform and data pipelines that supports multiple engineering teams and processes big dataAbility to quickly learn complex domains and new technologiesInnately curious and organized with the drive to analyze data to identify deliverables, anomalies and gaps and propose solutions to address these findingsExperience designing data models that have been implemented in productionStrong experience in writing complex SQL and ETL development with experience processing large data setsFamiliarity with AWS Services (Redshift, RDS, EKS, S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda)Experience using GitHub, Docker, Terraform, CodeFresh, JiraExperience contributing to full lifecycle deployments with a focus on quality and scalability
