System Architect Engineer

Contingent on award, Ampersand Solutions Group (AMPERSAND) has a requirement for one or more System Architect Engineers who will support a critical DoD mission providing expert engineering and/or scientific software and systems solutions in a complex hybrid multicloud environment spanning multiple classification levels.

Scope: Provides expert engineering and / or scientific solutions for highly complex technical software applications. Provides systems architecture design services on all aspects of networks, software architectures, software interfaces, and data flow architectures for complex software applications. Designs, develops, and implements complex hardware, software, and database applications or advanced techniques in investigating solutions to system requirements and problems. Develops, plans, coordinates, and integrates systems-related requirements to support operational needs, Develops and coordinates contract deliverables, task order reviews, briefings, and presentations. Has capability and skills to lead software applications that are required to support Continuous Delivery pipelines, such as Continuous Exploration, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Release Management. Has experience and skills to establish project overall architecture (networks, development environment, and release environment). Has skills in collaborating with Product Owners in a DoD environment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 0-10 years of relevant, related experience plus:

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field or:

Associates Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution plus 2 years relevant, related experienceHigh School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution plus 4 years relevant, related experience

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the appropriate levelWilling to periodically travel in support of test eventsAbility to support a hybrid work environment comprising telework and on-site support

Desired Qualifications

ACTIVE DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET ClearanceMasters degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other related fieldExperience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense SystemRecognized expertise in specialized acquisition, logistics, technology, systems, or processesProven mastery of relevant concepts, theories, principals, and techniques relevant to hybrid multicloud environments and/or analysis supporting DoD test missionsKnowledgeable of DoD ballistic missile defense system testing direction and requirementsExperience directly interfacing with project customers and stakeholdersExperience architecting, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and related toolsExperience with web development frameworks React (Telerik, Material UI)GitLab for code repositoryExperience with code quality and security test tools such as Fortify, SonarQubePrior experience supporting software release scheduleHands on experience architecting in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud - especially in a DoD-approved Impact Level 5 or 6 environmentExperience utilizing and developing using cloud native IaaS and PaaSCMMI Level 3 and Agile experienceStrong Microsoft Office skillsCertified in accordance with DoDI 8570.01M IAT Level 2 or higherNecessary Qualifications
