1Position Summary:Incumbent provides effective consultation and support for organizational decision making through high-level analysis, data mining of financial and operational data, and effective reporting. $150,500.00Required Qualifications:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishDemonstrated knowledge of MS OfficeDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior managementAbility to work with multiple and changing prioritiesSolid understanding of decision support systems, cost accounting principles, and accounting systemsMinimum 2 years experience using Excel to maintain spreadsheets and perform data manipulationBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess general knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc)Must demonstrate high level analytical skills with focus on business analysis and secondary focus on systems analysisMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesPreferred Qualifications:Two years experience working with a cost accounting systemKnowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and formsConditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
