Preferred Skills: Mainframe developerRESPONSIBILITIES:
4-6 years of hands-on experience using ALGOL and COBOL as their primary programming languages, and work within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.Experience in IQU/COBOL coding.Provide support controlling, diagnosing, and resolving difficult problems that arise due to incorrect ECL coding/programming techniques.Experience with LOUIS, DMS etc.Experience using a Windows-based personal computer workstation and the MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word), Internet browsers, Mainframe Terminal Emulation Software, and ITSM ticketing software.Provide real-time accurate monitoring and troubleshooting of multiple mainframe systems and applications.Experience with DB2 Z/OS, DB2 LUW, IMDB, etc., database backups, unloading data, and database mapping.Experience in tape service support for external tape systems in the z/OS Mainframe environment, including tape movement from silo to silo and preparing/updating tape administration documentation.Thorough understanding of zOS and/or Client based Database systems.Strong knowledge of enterprise storage technologies (SAN/NAS)SME of data archiving technologies, such as tape, optical and hierarchical storage management (HSM) systems.bility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.bility to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
