Selectek is looking to bring on a Helpdesk Support Technician to join their growing team. This role will add user support to their team as well as assisting with PC builds.Responsibilities:
Provides technically correct responses to end users in a timely manner and records all user support activity in the IT helpdesk.Builds WIN10 computers in accordance with Build Guide and assists users in transferring files, certificates etc to newly issued computers.Installs unique software for project teams (after verifying proper licensing)Maintains computer acceptance letters from users and ensures accurate hardware/software inventories.Independently investigates and troubleshoots hardware/software problems and performs corrections.Maintains printers, copiers and other technology devices as assigned.Responsible for sanitizing computers returned by users and for timely update of computer information in active directory and IT inventory system.Ensures adherence to IT security policies and procedures escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
Required:
2+ years of experience working in helpdesk capacity in Microsoft domain environmentExperience with Win10 and Active DirectoryStrong verbal and written communication skillsOrganized with attention to detail
This person will do a mixture of hardware/software helpdesk user support as well as PC build. To start, they will likely do 60% helpdesk work and 40% PC build, but as they learn more that will change to 80% helpdesk work and 20% PC build. Most important experience is AD (Active Directory) and WIN10 experience.Sponsorship: NoNo security clearance needed. Need to be US citizenPay Range: $25/hour - $30/hour ($52,000 - $63,000 annual salary)Term of assignment: 6 months temp to permHours & Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm no flex timeWork From Home/remote: NoOvertime: Minimum - occasionally an hour or twoTravel: NoneWork Attire: Business CasualDoes the client require a background check/drug test?
