Our client is looking for a candidate to join their team as a Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible to develop controls and power management software for new products as well as providing support for legacy products.

Responsibilities:
-Creating and maintaining control software/hardware specifications, CAN messages specifications, microprocessor selection, creation of control board schematics and maintaining/creating virtual dashboard software.-Will collaborate with Power and PCB Design engineers in the design, development and testing of control PCB"s for power conversion products.-Providing product technical support, related to software, for OEM"s and field service technicians. Field service technicians may represent our client, vehicle OEM"s and/or end customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science Degree in Software Engineering.-A minimum of 2 years of coding experience with an emphasis on the control of high power electronics conversion products (DC-DC and DC-AC).-Altium PCB design software for control board schematic creation/markup up.-Knowledge of SAE J1939 CAN messaging protocols.-Experience in microcontroller selection related to power electronics conversion products.-Experience with power supply design at a PCB level.-Good communication skills for interfacing with all engineering disciplines, including manufacturing/production and system integration engineering.-Good communication skills for interfacing with our client, OEM and end customer field service technicians.-Ability to manage priorities on multiple projects.-Ability to work in-person in a dynamic environment with semi-private office space/cubicles during standard business hours (M-F, approx. 8-5).
Software Development Tools Experience:
-Freescale CodeWarrior-TI Code Composer-Freescale Kinetis Design Studio-Microsoft Visual C++-NXP MCUXpresso IDE-Multisim (circuit simulation)
Additional Desired Qualifications:
-Motor drive software development experience-Familiarity with high-voltage (700V-2kV) and high-current (10A-600A) products.-Familiarity with applicable industry standards (SAE, ISO, UL, etc.).-Familiarity with mobile industrial markets related to hybrid, BEB and FCEB vehicles.
