Senior Solution Architect - Salesforce Location: MN/Remote

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Solutions Architect is responsible for defining strategic & tactical solutions, with accompanying artifacts to define and solve business challenges facing the organization. This role will work in collaboration with business and technology partners to define future-state and generate roadmaps that ensure technology decisions and future-state definitions align with the strategic and enterprise objectives set forth by leadership.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: Serves as a Trusted Advisor, drives conversations with our customers' Technology and Business Stakeholders armed with best practices from enterprise architecture functions such as Security, Performance, High Level Requirements Analysis and IT Governance. Advises and mentors diverse teams, which include customer and partner resources in technical and functional delivery aspects at a program level, using influence and adaptive communication strategies in scenarios where an architect does not have direct authority over all resources. Acts as a change agent for the organization, and a champion of innovation Considers a spectrum of solutions (short, mid and future states) and a variety of investment levels (small, medium, large), documenting tradeoffs and ultimately providing a recommended course. Defines and documents domain architecture Defines and documents architectural standards and patterns. Independently leads architecture design on complex projects that may span a broad range of applications and expertise. Contributes to a program / project vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies. Provides practical guidance on functional solution architecture & design; application and integration development best practices; architecture standards and patterns; development environment management and testing; and current and to-be technology education. When necessary, may participate in troubleshooting key customer implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to successful resolution. Works with business analysts in the evaluation of business and technical requirements in alignment with future-state definitions. Provides input in the project/program direction, approaches, and key artifacts to keep program/project on track with solutions that follow best practices, are scalable and maintainable. Identifies and manages critical gaps and risk areas and commits to a plan for their resolution or mitigation. In collaboration with peers in IT (Project Managers, Product Owners, etc.), manages our customer expectations and negotiates solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners. Builds relationships with business partners, internal and external, and contributes to broader goals and growth beyond the scope of a single customer engagement. Acts as a liaison between business Subject Matter Experts and technical experts. Contributes to the growth of the architectural practice by identifying and leading internal technology-based initiatives to mature our consulting practice, leveraging junior teammates to achieve individual as well as team growth; serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base; mentor, educate, and enrich technical and non-technical, customer and partner colleagues. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

Applies understanding of the long-term ("big picture") as well as short-term perspectives to situations. Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with industry-standard SDLC, including object-oriented code analysis and design; revision and version control systems, build process, and issue tracking; unit, integration, performance, and regression tests; logging; agile and waterfall methodologies; service-oriented architectures (ESB, REST, SOAP); functional and technical specification documentation. Authentication, authorization, security, LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies (e.g., AD, Okta). Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems, prove-out implementations with lightweight proof-of-concept artifacts. Ability to:

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance or Engineering with an emphasis in Information Technology. Equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for the degree requirement. 12+ years of enterprise or application consulting experience, including implementation experience with custom development, as well as one or more common enterprise software solutions (e.g., CRM, ERP, etc.), filling positions of increasing responsibility and management of more junior resources. 5+ years of experience as a functional, systems or solutions architect, in a mid to large sized organization with demonstrated leadership driving transformation in a matrix organization. Familiarity with Iterative, Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall software development methodologies. Exposure to key areas of application and architecture, including legacy technologies, as well as more modern integration technologies, single sign on, cloud services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.), and master data management. Proven ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Proven results leading and overseeing customer and/or partner success stories in the following domains: front- and back-end solution architecture, development and release management strategies, change management, and direct leadership in designing solutions that meet or exceed customer needs. Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration. Demonstrated guidance of customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value. Polished speaker with the ability to evangelize best practices at various levels within a large organization. Other Requirements:
