A biotech company in California is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Software QA Engineer. In this role, the Software QA Engineer will be responsible for the design of test solutions to verify single cell sorting product software.
Responsibilities: The Software QA Engineer will: Test basic features of new softer releases using pre-defined test plans and scripts to identify defects Follow uniform testing procedures Document results and uses designated systems and tools to track outcomes Perform follow-up rounds of testing as needed Execute testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards Prepare data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolate, reproduce, and track defects; verify fixes Document testing according to required procedures Assist with the content of new testing scripts and plans Ensure that all verification activities are conducted in accordance with Quality System requirements Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant Testing experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Biomedical Engineering Exposure to Coding or equivalent Familiarity with Version Control systems and Release methodologies Familiar with Software Development cycle and Quality Assurance methodologies Experience executing to verification plans Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word, etc.) Solid problem solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills:
Python 3.x programming experience Experience using TestComplete or similar test tool (e.g. Squish, Selenium, etc.) automation Education background and/or experience in biology and life science instrumentation
