Sr Java Backend DeveloperWork Location: Remote
JOB SUMMARY:Sr. JAVA Developers are responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. Senior IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Senior IT Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application. Senior IT Developers lead efforts, oversee work results, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Developers.

Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skillsFlexible team playerAbility to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesAbility to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performanceHigh critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategyMust demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skillsAbility to communicate technical information clearly and articulatelyAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentIn-depth understanding of the systems development life cycleProficiency programming in JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, Spring Boot and related technologies, especially on backend servicesProficiency programming in Struts frameworkProficiency using tools for day-to-day development, e.g., Gitlab (code versioning), IDE, debuggers, Rally (agile team collaboration) etc.
Development experience with HTML, SOAP services, REST services, XML, JSONDevelopment experience with querying and manipulating databases - SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, No-SQL, flat files etc.
Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:The preferred qualifications listed below reflect desired knowledge, skill, and/or experience.
Healthcare domain experienceExperience using Agile methodologyDevelopment experience with Node.js, React.jsKnowledge of application development in security domain - LDAP, Siteminder, ForgeRock
Required Work Experience:5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
Required Education:Related Bachelor's degree or related work experience
