The ideal candidate will have developer experience with Gemfire, Kubernetes, Kafka, private or public cloud platforms, CI/CD toolsets, has an automation and continuous improvement mindset, understands testing automation, and agile methodologies. Looking for someone to help operationalize the service and enable our application development teams as they integrate with Gemfire creating and explaining best practices, ensuring their implementation is optimized from a performance perspective and that end users are taking full advantage of Gemfire capabilities. This team will also be responsible for staying current with enterprise standards, industry standards and technologies, methodologies and best practices.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE- Developer Enablement of Gemfire in Prime's private cloud platform utilizing either Tanzu Application Service or TKGI- Partner with the platform admins and the consuming application development teams to enable new services and capabilities, maintenance best practices, documentation, and creating consumable patterns to leverage the platform- Work in an agile methodology (e.g. Agile ceremonies, standup, Iterative Planning Meetings, Pair Programming) with a focus on the Extreme Programming Model- Able to design and implement automated tasks within the team- Responsible for staying current with enterprise and industry standards, technologies, methodologies and best practices
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience- Minimum 2 years of experience in Gemfire (preferred) or Reddis or other in-memory caching data store- Motivated to automate manual processes- Ability to identify issues, support and provide real time solutions for them- Familiar with Framework/Technologies: Java Spring, Kubernetes, YAML, Git, Jira, BOSH, Concourse, CI & CD tools, artifact repository tools, and automation scripting via Ansible, Terraform, etc.- Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written to multiple levels of the organization- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, other IS areas, and clients in other departments- Strong ability to work on assigned and self-directed tasks with an emphasis on delivering results
