Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Product Specialist to join our team in Holland.
As a Product Specialist, you will:
Support the Manager by providing timely and accurate product performance analyses, quality audits, market research, competitive analyses, and product planning. Solves problems and takes corrective action, as appropriate, to support Manager.
Some of the responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Provides market information to Manager in effort to make informed and timely decisions to achieve product line performance objective.
Assists with developing and maintaining new product mix forecasts to expand product margins and position Haworth as leader in industry.
Assists with development and implementation of marketing plans and programs to increase sales, improve quality, and reduce cost.
Participates in margin/cost analysis, including new pricing determination, to support marketing objectives.
Assists with development and implementation of product strategies leading to achievement of corporate objectives.
Conducts marketing research activities, including development of need statements, to make informed and timely decisions to achieve product line performance objective.
Conducts analyses regarding initiation, continuation, modification, or cancellation of individual products or product lines to expand product margins and position Haworth as leader in industry.
Assists with and coordinates market research activities to obtain competitive materials such as literature, products, and/or pricing.
Provides assistance in development and coordination of market research to obtain information on new and existing products to make product line decisions.
Develops and implements sales training programs to ensure appropriate members are informed and kept up-to-date on product changes and enhancements.
Do you have these required qualifications?
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
4 years of Product Line Management or experience in a business role supporting Finance, Marketing, Sales or Engineering, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 15 percent of time.
Must be able to operate power and manual hand tools.
Ability to bend/move/balance in manufacturing environment, with ability to lift/move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
