System Administrator Golden Limousine International Onsite - Milan, MI Summary: Golden Limousine International is seeking a System Administrator who will be responsible for configuring and managing a company's entire infrastructure, including all of the hardware, software, and operating systems that are necessary to support the running of the business. Responsibilities: As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining the organization's computer systems, networks, and software Your expertise will ensure the efficiency, reliability, and security of our computer infrastructure, enabling smooth operations and enhanced productivity for our employees Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, networks, and software applications Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing necessary solutions Ensure data backups, disaster recovery plans, and security measures are effectively established and executed. Collaborate with IT team members and other stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies or upgrades Oversee user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring proper user management Conduct regular system audits and perform necessary maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches Assist and guide employees in resolving technical problems and queries Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to enhance system efficiency and security Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices Setting up new users and giving them access to the intranet Managing and maintaining the file servers Operating the firewall for the organization Monitoring the internet connection for security risks Employing the latest security protocols Monitoring the local area network (LAN) for threats or errors Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, such as Windows Server Proficiency in data visualization Strong understanding of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and LDAP Create and manage automation flows in PowerAutomate. Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, such as Commvault or Veeam Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task scheduling Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
