Job description Extensive Expertise in handling enterprise level IBM TSM(Spectrum) Server environment running in Windows/Linux platforms. Extensive Experience in handling enterprise level IBM TSM clients running in multiple Windows/Linux platforms. Extensive Experience in handling Tape Libraries and Onsite/Offsite Media Management. Extensive Experience in handling EMC DataDomain and VTL Technologies. Extensive Experience in handling Tape SAN environment consisting of Cisco Fabric Switches. Very good experience in configuration of TSM Database and activity log, archive log, Recovery log. Very good experience in configuration of Tape Storage Pools, Disk storage pools to create onsite & offsite copies. Very good experience in any of the Backup Reporting Tools like Operations Manager or Bocada etc., Very good understanding about platforms like Windows or UNIX, Database and other type of agent backups. Basic Understanding about SAN technologies like Hitachi and EMC. Responsibilities Include: Troubleshooting Backup failures on a day to basis. Analyze the activity logs for the any failed and missed schedules and reviewing db2diag.log for server issue. Checking the database backups issue and analyzing db2diag.log. Manage the Library such as availability of the scratch volumes, check-in, checkout. Manage the Disaster Recovery Media such as checking the status of medias inside the library, sending to the vault location and retrieve from the vault. Fine-tune the Server option file and sending Optional Reports. Checking the migration / reclamation status / Expiration issue / backup storagepool. Monitoring the Storage pool usage Monitoring TSM error logs. Audit Library if any mismatch in LIBRARY inventory and TSM inventory. Configuration of inventory expiration, migration, reclamation, collocation etc. Maintaining minimum number of scratch volumes. Configuring library and library paths; drives and drive paths; device class. If any Drive related or Volume related errors, move the data of the volume to destroy the Volume based on the number of READ/ WRITE errors.
