About Your Role:As a Data Governance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of an organization's data assets. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and business leaders, to establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.

Your Contributions:

Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Design and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation to provide transparency into data sources, transformations, and usage.Conduct data risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate data-related risks, such as data breaches, data loss, and unauthorized access.Implement access controls, encryption, and other security measures to protect sensitive data assets from unauthorized access or disclosure.Work closely with data architects and data engineers to design and implement data management solutions that support data governance objectives.Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in data governance, management, and security, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and address data governance challenges across the organization.Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.3-5 years of experience with database systems and database internals, such as query engines and optimizers, strongly preferred.3-5 years of experience with data management tools and technologies, including data cataloging tools, metadata management tools, and data quality tools.Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data analysis and manipulation.Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques (e.g., ER and dimensional modeling).Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail.

Salary:

$120,000 - $140,000

Affinity Working Hours:

9AM-5:30PM
