The Sr. BI/Cognos Reports Developer will work directly with the client business user community and business analysts to define and document reporting/dashboard requirements. Under broad supervision, designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs computer software.
Job Description:
In this role, the Senior BI/Cognos Reports Developer at the client Enterprise Systems Department (ESD) will bring an expert level of experience for developing reporting solutions which enable users to make business decisions.This individual will work closely with key partners/stakeholders to gather requirements, design, build, enhance reports and dashboards and other ad-hoc queries.These solutions will be developed by accessing our various data warehouse and operations systems.The Senior BI/Cognos Reports Developer will work directly with the Client business user community and business analysts to define and document reporting/dashboard requirements to support Under broad supervision, designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs computer software.Researches and analyzes program or systems problems and develops program documentation. Translates business requirements into development activities in secure and maintainable code.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in computer science or management information systems AND Six years of related experience.
Required:
In-depth understanding of database management systems, SQL database design, SQL queries, BI technologies (Cognos/Tableau), database management systemProficient in one or two of the following - Data Mining, Statistical Analysis, Probability Analysis, and Time-series analysisStrong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate business requirements into complex data analyses and actionable insiKnowledge of Data visualization platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools10+ years' experience SQL & relational databases (Writing Complex Queries),
