Poshmark, Inc., is hiring for the following role in Redwood City, CA: Staff Software Engineer, Backend to Build the back end of the Poshmark Cloud Platform, an infrastructure that spans thousands of machines on AWS.
Responsibilities
Build scalable, service-oriented infrastructure on AWS using the latest open source tools and technologies;
Design and improve architecture in order to ensure horizontal scalability at all layers;
Implement APIs and services for use by other developers;
Resolve issues related to performance at all tiers of the application;
Regularly provide meaningful design feedback and code review to peers; and
Identify architectural gaps and propose solutions. 100% telecommuting available. Multiple openings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field;
Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or Software Engineer (any level), Engineer (any level), Software Developer (any level), Application Developer (any level), or IT Analyst (any level);
Position also requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Working with globally distributed architectures; Working on and/or understand distributed systems and large scale engineering challenges; SQL or NoSQL databases and experience scaling them; Solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design; Frameworks for caching, queuing, RPC, and distributed data storage; and Debugging complex problems across an entire stack.
Salary Range $215,197—$222,000 USD
