PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Owens Corning Global Information Services (GIS)

Functional IT Lead - Finance

is responsible for implementing and maintaining technology solutions that enable finance processes in the areas of general ledger, treasury and cash management, asset accounting, controlling, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This individual is a go-to expert that leads the design, implementation, deployment, and support of global finance systems, ensuring it is done in a manner consistent with the OC enterprise architecture and GIS standards. Deep technical expertise in the finance domain coupled with effective communication, problem-solving, global collaboration, and project management skills are critical in this role to lead technology projects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure technical solutions are sustainable.The successful candidate for this role is a continuous learner of technology, maintains market awareness, and is networked into finance and technology disciplines. They are accountable for keeping up-to-date on new and emerging technology trends and are expected to maintain proficiency and understanding of these technologies.Reports to: Technical Team Lead - FinanceSpan of Control: Individual ContributorJOB RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical ExcellenceEnsure the performance, support, sustainability, and lifecycle management of finance solutions are engineered in the design stageCollaborate closely with key stakeholders to collect requirements and build a robust pipeline for continuous improvementProactively communicate technical and implementation risks associated with technology solutionsPropose technology assessments and execute proof of concepts to enable finance transformationPartner with architects to update OC Enterprise Reference Model business processes for financeEnsure documentation standards for blueprinting, development and configuration are updated and align with Enterprise Architecture standard frameworkDevelop relevant technology expertise and insight through active participation in opportunities, such as networking, conferences, formal training, and workshopsConsult with other IT teams to ensure solutions meet OC financial standards and are appropriately testedEnsure a support model exists for finance technologies by partnering with process leaders, functional stakeholders, and IT application support providersGet involved with support as required to deliver a strong service-first mindset to our stakeholders and act as an escalation as needed to make sure support is delivered timely and correctlyCollaborate with architects to develop and sustain the Finance IT Roadmap

Project Leadership & ExecutionLead the execution of global SAP implementations and cutover for a subset of finance related functionsLead all project lifecycle phases and effectively prioritize and sequence tasks amidst competing prioritiesGuide day-to-day tasks for a diverse set of global internal and external resourcesParticipate in integrated discussions with multiple IT teams and collaborate on cross-functional requirementsConsult with business and process teams on new requirements and perform gap analysisAnalyze business requirements, research alternatives, and apply standard processes and solutionsPartner with project leaders and architects to develop comprehensive statements of work that account for scope assumptions, resources, timeline integration points, and riskPartner with architects to translate business requirements into custom technology solutions where appropriateSupport the business in the project deployment phases of user validation testing, change management, training, cutover, and hyper care/post-go live supportAct as a project manager for various sized projects, enhancements, optimizations within the finance domain

JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology, or related field of studyMinimum of 5 years of experience within the information technology or information systems industryMinimum of 5 years of experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Finance with at least 1 year of experience utilizing S/4HANAWillingness to travel periodically as needed in support of larger projects and optimizations, up to an estimated 10 - 20%, domestic and/or internationally

EXPERIENCEPrior SAP ECC 6.0 or greater deployment experience in all phases of the accelerated SAP methodology

Knowledge of best practices in SAP FI/CO related modules including general Ledger, treasury & cash management, asset accounting, controlling, accounts receivable, and accounts payableBasic understanding of processes impacting finance, such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, forecast-to-stock and account-to-reportPrior experience integrating third party applications or leveraging SAP bolt-on solutions to improve financial processes in SAP ECC and/or S4/HANAKnowledge of accounting standards, such as US-GAAP, and statutory requirements is a plus
