Software QA/Test Engineer SMEJOB DESCRIPTION

X8 seeks an experienced test engineer to serve as a software quality control and test engineer, tasked with reviewing multiple software deliverables within USCYBERCOM. They will serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for the Command in testing procedures and supports government leadership in evaluating requirements delivery to USCYBERCOM. This position is located on-site in Columbia, MD.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Serve as a software testing SME for the customer in testing procedures, documentation, and tools.Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes.Evaluate software compared to stated requirements.Engage with government, vendors and users about test procedures, test results and mitigation recommendations

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING

Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science,Engineering Management or related disciplineMinimum of 15 years with a masters degree

Minimum of 18 years with a bachelor's degreeMinimum of 20 years of experience with an associate degree or HS DiplomExperience in software development. (Developer, program manager, test engineer, QC, etc...)Object Oriented Programming, C, C++, Java, J2SE, XML, Visual Basic Suite including Visual Source Safe, J Builder, Windows Development Environment, Windows Client, and other commonly used programming languages.

USCYBERCOM experienceLanguages: C/C++, Python, Assembly (x86, ARM, MIPS)Platforms: Comfortable in both Windows and UnixOther Skills: Reverse Engineering and Vulnerability Analysis

MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Current and Active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $185,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience, education)Up to 5% annual salary retention bonusUp to $5,000 continuing education reimbursementBenefits: 100% medical, dental, vision, disability, life insuranceTime Off: 24 Days PTO and 13 holidays401K: up to 10% 401(k) contribution
