Associate Systems EngineerWork Location: Remote

DescriptionAssociate IT Systems Engineers are responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, debugging, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology solutions. Associate IT Systems Engineers provide technical support, troubleshoot problems and perform scripting/programming to ensure stable and efficient operation of technology solutions.

Essential functions:

Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technologyManages system/application environment and ongoing operationsEnsures that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standardsResearches, designs, implements and tests technology solutionsProactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologiesTroubleshoots software and/or hardware issues/failuresResolves alerts and performs remediation activitiesManages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software ownersCollects and presents data for reporting and planningAssists with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to systems/application administrationDetermines migration and upgrade impacts and diagnose/resolve complex technology/application errorsCollaborates with IT and business area partners on work groups and initiativesDetermines best course of action for meeting business needsMay provide input into infrastructure architecture designsWrites programming/scriptingMay participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercisesEnsures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints.May contribute input to infrastructure architecturePerforms on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies

Requirements:

Extensive working knowledge of multiple technologies and their interfaces and integrationCompetent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system.Extensive experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementationsHigh critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesAbility to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performanceAbility to communicate technical information clearly and articulatelyAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentExperience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutionsExperience using Agile methodology

Advanced Soft skills around working with people.Ability to listen and exhibit empathy all in an effort to drive customer satisfaction.1 year of Hashicorp Terraform Enterprise development with the following key skills: Terraform CRUD operationsTerraform modules -- how to consume and contribute to them Terraform remote statesTerraform state managementProficient in translating abstract solutions into fully developed Terraform Enterprise code utilizing a combination of disciplines/concepts like modules and state.Knowledge in Open Source and Git Concepts1 or more years of supporting Azure Cloud and AWS Cloud (Expert working Knowledge in Both Cloud are a requirement).Google Cloud is desirable.1 or more years of Application Support1 or more years of Network Support and troubleshootingProficient knowledge of IP networks, subnets, routing.1 or more years of coding solutions and scripting processes for automation.Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP technologies, etc.1 or more years of experience deploying and troubleshooting key cloud network technologies: Load balancer, Application load balancers, firewall.1 or more years of experience of integration with cloud deployed solutions, back to on premise data centers, cross cloud integrations, etc.Administration of Microsoft Windows Operating systems and Linux Red Hat Operating systems.Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients.Excellent collaborative skills and attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributorsProcess oriented candidate who enjoys automatingWillingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resourcesExcellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skillsAbility to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.Practical experience with Power Automate and/or Logic Apps.Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platformsLeverage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to architect and provision all workload resources and components using cloud-agnostic and/or cloud-native toolingApply automated deployment tool sets and infrastructure including environments and code management using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processesBuild solutions based on security, monitoring, logging, and alerting requirementsIntegrate on premise solutions with Cloud resourcesDevelop testing use cases and detailed testing plans that map to the documented business and technical requirements, Monitor application performance and detect conditions affecting the health of IT cloud services in various cloud platforms

Preferred Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field, A Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems Required, Master in Computer Science or Security desired.
