Job Description:Our client located in the Springfield, MA area is looking for a remote Security Analyst to join their team. The Security Engineer will be assisting the Cyber Security Analysis department.
Responsibilities
Reviewing and promoting changes in a file integrity monitorFollowing up with teams that are responsible for providing business justifications for changesEnsuring the Business Reason makes sense for why the file(s) changedPromoting the changes with the Business Reasons receivedEscalating in cases where a change is unknown or a business reason is not receivedReviewing reports from a variety of systems (File Integrity Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanner, etc.) to ensure assets are:o Configured properly in their respective toolso In a healthy stateo Completing scheduled jobs properlyo Creating Service Desk tickets for issues found in the reports reviewed that require intervention from another team
Required
Undergraduate Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Computer Science, or 4 years of equivalent experience in Information Technology2-4 years' experience with Windows or Unix systems1-2 years' experience with ticketing applications relating to information technologyCapable of technical communications with subject matter experts to resolve configuration / health issues for assetsAble to follow documentation and standard operating procedures to ensure checks are being done in a consistent mannerHas strong time management skills to ensure Daily, Weekly, and Monthly tasks are completed on timeExperience in building queries in Oracle to extract dataStrong scripting or Java skills to automate jobsPreferred:
