Were passionate about providing healthcare professionals the most valuable and complete solutions to improve hospital efficiency and enhance patient care.Job Summary:The Network Specialist is responsible for identifying and understanding IT customer requirements to successfully integrate Werfens Digital Solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, connectivity, integration and cybersecurity starting with pre-sale to go-live by providing technical leadership, expertise and guidance related to the network design, and implementation of these solutions to enable business objectives.Responsibilities:Key AccountabilitiesEssential Functions:Provides 2nd level support to local affiliates during pre-sale consulting, design, implementation, and go-live support to current and potential customers.Provides escalated on-site support as requested by Digital Solutions Service Director.Identify and resolve issues affecting customers network working closely with the hospitals IT department and local affiliate.Refer more complex problems to R&D and/or Digital Factory departments.Creates, designs, and presents network architecture diagrams, drawings, and visual communication(s) to customers and internal stakeholders for review and approval.Ensures network designs are in compliance with all regulatory policies, procedures and records.Collaborates with R&D, Digital Factory and Service to design a predefined network diagrams portfolio to successfully implement Werfens Digital Solutions into the customer network.Perform required technical presentations and training sessions.Serves as voice of the customer liaison with internal stakeholders.Secondary Functions:Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Digital Solutions Service Director.Networking/Key RelationshipsDigital Solutions Service teamDevelopment and QA teamsPPSO (Product Privacy Security Officer)Local service teamsLocal marketing teamsWW Marketing Product ManagersWW Service
Qualifications:Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering required or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.Experience:Minimum of five years experience in IT customer facing/support role.Familiarity working in a health care setting or equivalent experience, practical experience as a Systems IT Analyst or related IT field, preferred.Project Management experience desirable.Additional Skills / Knowledge:Expert knowledge of:Network hardware and structured cabling.Network protocols (LAN, WAN, Wireless protocols).Network security (network intrusion, antivirus, DoS and other kind of attacks).Network storage (SAN, NAS).Network brands (Fortinet, Cisco, HP, Aruba).Troubleshooting and problem resolution.Ability to create and interpretate network diagrams and other network related documentation.Knowledge of ASTM and HL7 communication protocols would be a plus.Knowledge of Digital Certificates (OpenSSL, CAs) would be a plus.Knowledge of cybersecurity, keeps current within industry trends and mitigation, preferred.Experience working on cloud computing environment and products.Experience working in IoT technologies.Knowledge of Virtualization would be a plus.Knowledge of OS (Windows and/or Linux) would be a plus.Working knowledge of the health care industry, preferred.Skills & Capabilities:Excellent communication skills is mandatory.Be self-motivated, take initiative and be willing to lead technical presentations and discussions with affiliates and end-users in hospitals and laboratories.Proven customer-oriented background and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to author documents, diagrams, and presentations.Comfortable communicating with and influencing customers, internal teams, and senior leadership.Ability to work in a regulated environment.Adaptability; ability to manage workload and competing priorities.Highly Collaborative; ability to work cross-functionally, with multi-disciplined teams.Travel Requirements:Available to travel internationally at least 25% of the time.Werfen is an Equal Opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse workplace.
