As a Consultant III - Cisco UC Implementation Engineer, you will be part of Telecommunication's Consultant Services team and serve as a technical resource for Cisco UC design, deployment, implementation, and post-implementation support. Your focus will be on Telecommunication's Unified Communications and Collaboration as a Service (UCCaaS) product. In support of customer solutions, Telecommunication CS focuses on planning, designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting managed deployments and other converged unified communications solutions to meet our customers' needs. Additional support might include providing training and workshop activities, consulting services, and review of custom designs.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Serve as subject matter expert Act as primary implementation engineer for Telecommunication's Unified Communications portfolio Work with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deploy designed solutions Lead technical sessions with customers to Client requirements and develop solutions Prepare project design and documentation Present solutions to clients Participate as a "hands-on" engineer on project deployments Mentor and develop mid-level and junior engineers Maintain and develop relationships with clients and vendor partners such as Cisco Evaluate and recommend new technologies Maintain technical certifications as required Support after-hours cutovers routinely and be able to accommodate evening schedules as required. You'll need to have:
More than 7 years as a senior Cisco CCNP engineer with hands-on experience planning, designing, troubleshooting, and implementing / deploying complex and global Cisco UC product lines. Experience must include Unified Communications Manager (preferably through 12.5), Communications Manager Express, Unity, Unity Express, Unity Connection, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Voice Gateways, Unified Presence Server and Communicator, and Jabber. Experience designing and implementing complex and multinational UC deployments. Experience with vendor and manufacturer-provided remote access and provisioning tools to support remote and onsite deployments. Expertise with communications protocols such as H323 / SIP / MGCP / SCCP and other audio codecs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Even better if you have:
Ten or more years of experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator selling, designing, and implementing Cisco UC systems and solutions. Expertise with related vendor technologies such as Sonus, AudioCodes, Oracle/Acme, other Client technology, etc. Expertise integrating Cisco solutions with other vendor products such as overhead paging systems, direct SIP Trunking to other IPPBX platforms, etc. Advisory / Consulting experience is highly desirable. Passed CCIE Written.
