Job DescriptionAssignment DetailsAs a Nutanix/Linux/Data Center Support Engineer assigned to the OptNet and Islanding Project, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and support of the project's Nutanix, Linux, VMware, and Exadata environments.You will play a crucial role in maintaining the project's data center infrastructure while ensuring the successful implementation of the opt Net and Islanding initiatives.Skills & Requirements

Installation, configuration, and management of Nutanix clusters. -Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in Nutanix environments. -Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor) administration. -Prism Central and Prism Element management. -Capacity planning and performance tuning for Nutanix clusters. -Migration of workloads and data to/from Nutanix clusters. -Understanding of Nutanix APIs for automation and integration. -VMware vSphere infrastructure installation and management. -VMware ESXi hypervisor administration. -Virtual machine provisioning and management. -vCenter Server and DRS management. -VMware HA, FT, and vMotion usage. -Understanding of VMware vSAN. -Troubleshooting VMware-related issues. -Proficiency in Linux operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.). -Command-line navigation and troubleshooting. -Linux server administration and configuration. -Shell scripting for automation and task execution. -System performance monitoring and tuning. -Networking configuration and troubleshooting in Linux. -Automation tools usage (Shell script). -Scripting languages proficiency (Bash, Python, PowerShell). -Data center architecture and components understanding. -Hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. -Cable management, power, and cooling considerations. -Asset and inventory management. -Data center management tools familiarity. -Compliance and security knowledge. -Problem-solving and logical thinking skills. -Excellent communication with customers and team members. -Effective task prioritization and documentation.

The following are not required for this position but would be considered as a valuable asset in a potential candidate.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) -Understanding of hybrid cloud configurations. -Exadata Storage Server architecture understanding. -Patching, firmware updates, and backup/recovery on Exadata. -Utilities experience is a plus.
