Job Description We are searching for a Software Engineer to support government operations in Chantilly, Virginia. The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive skill set and experience in software engineering to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to excellence in support of our mission-critical projects.

Role of Software Engineering Lead:

The Software Engineering Lead will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for oversight of all full-stack software development activities across various platforms and applications. This leadership role requires a strategic vision and a hands-on approach to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions within the defined scope of work.

Requirements

Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience:

Technical Project Management: Full lifecycle software development experience. Estimating and managing timelines and deliverables. Proven capability in Agile environments. Developing detailed designs and deliverables based on customer and system requirements. Designing new system interfaces. Coordinating, supporting, and participating in program meetings and reviews. Establishing constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors. Development Skills: Hands-on experience with:

Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, TypeScript, and Angular 2+. RESTful web services using Java 8+, Spring Framework 4+, and Spring Security 4+. Non-relational databases, preferably DynamoDB. Troubleshooting Internet/Web related protocols and technologies (e.g., Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, SSL). Developing tests with JUnit and Jasmine and using testing platforms like Jest or Karma. Working with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Nexus). Desired Skills and Demonstrated Experience:

Developing and maintaining systems utilizing websockets. Using Angular Material for user interfaces. Experience in rapid prototyping and application development with significant user interaction. Skills in Shell, Perl, Python, or similar for automation. Effective communication with senior customers, management, and partners. Creating and maintaining JIRA tickets.
