NOC Analyst

A recognized services company in Virginia is looking to add a new NOC Analyst to their growing team in Richmond. In this role, the NOC Analyst will be responsible for performing moderately complex tasks related to enterprise monitoring, remote network and circuit testing, coordination of complex application issues with multiple groups, installation, and/or maintenance.
Responsibilities:
The NOC Analyst will: Manage the transport network used to provide data/voice communications to client locations and monitor the data/voice networks and critical applications for alarms at various locations Provide central management of leased services telecommunication issues and act as liaison with the telecom carriers' support and field personnel Work with IT Telecom Technicians to provision, test, and turn up new voice and data circuits Coordinate repair of circuits and network elements with IT Telecom and provide centralized testing support Communicate and coordinate network repair schedules and changes with critical infrastructure clients (SOC, ROCs, et al) Provide after hours Help Desk support Qualifications:
3 years of experience with the following: T1 LINES; Data Networking Transport; Standard Test Equipment; DSO; IBM PC; T3 Lines; SONET; DWDM; TDMA; Fiber Optics; and, Microwave Radio IT network and telecommunications applications experience Basic knowledge of IT Networking and telecommunications Solid problem solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills:
Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree Monitoring experience
