The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Robotics Software Engineer, with a focus on cloud communication, sensor integration, electronics driver development, robotics navigation and control, and CI/CD processes. This role requires an individual who has a strong blend of software and hardware expertise in robotics, and a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain sophisticated software for autonomous mobile robotsImplement and optimize algorithms for path planning, motion control, and obstacle avoidanceIntegrate and manage cloud communication services, especially AWS, for enhanced connectivity and data processingDevelop drivers and interfaces for various sensors and electronic components in roboticsConstruct and maintain tools and processes for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to streamline software development and deploymentCollaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless software integration with mechanical and electrical systemsApply machine learning techniques to improve robot autonomy and efficiencyConduct comprehensive software testing and debugging for reliability and performanceStay updated on the latest in robotics software, cloud computing, sensor technology, and CI/CD practicesProvide mentorship and guidance to junior software engineersRequirements
Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in robotics software developmentProficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System)Experience with AWS or similar cloud services for communication and data processingExperience in developing sensor and electronics drivers for robotic systemsProven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD processes and toolsStrong skills in algorithm development for path planning, machine learning, and real-time systemsExceptional problem-solving ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and teamwork orientationBenefits
