MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

The candidate shall provide technical support to the end users on the operation of the Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) System. The candidate shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the VoIP telephone system, including infrastructure (wiring, switches, and routers). The candidate shall check the daily ticket log, and complete actions to resolve the ticket. The candidate shall provide daily support of the unclassified VoIP endpoint devices, ensuring that all devices are operational. The candidate shall ensure that all configurations meet the various security guidelines and are backed up. The candidate must be able to resolve issues related to the functionality of Cisco IP Telephony.

Additional responsibilities:Conducts site surveys and meets with other department contacts to plan and coordinate new and upgraded cabling and telecommunications equipment for large and complex systems.Identify and update the locations of all IT infrastructure drops on provided floor plans, label all jack locations identified using provided specifications.Identify the location of both sides of all IT infrastructure drops to include both the work area outlet and the communication room/patch panel.Notify Lead POC promptly of any IT drops locations that they are unable to find and have knowledge of IT infrastructure.Perform duties in compliance with industry best practices, BICSI methodologies, standards, and codes.Must have at least (2) or more years of experience in an enterprise network level environment using Cisco Unified Call Manager applications.

Must have an active Secret Clearance (sponsorship available to selected candidates).Knowledge of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) related computer based tools, i.e. NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET) in order to maintain asset inventories, process MAC requests, and produce reports.Skill in written communication in order to compose easily understood logical correspondence and reports.Ability to communicate orally in order to gather and provide information and present conclusions and recommendations.Skill in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data in order to determine whether information is valid and pertinent to a specific situation.Skill in identifying potential problems, and identifying potential resolutions.CompTIA Network+ certification OR CompTIA Security+ certificationCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise
