PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Applies general understanding of the technical concepts, practices and procedures and has a basic knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to the oil and gas industryShoot fluid levels on assigned wells and document findings and distribute information to proper departmentsMaintain proper operations, troubleshoot and adjust all POC's to optimize productionAssist with rod, tubing designs and artificial lift equipment to minimize failure ratesInstall and maintain automation equipment on producing wells and vesselsIdentify problems and/or recommend courses of action to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase productionPerform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells assigned for which Artificial Lift Technician is responsibleConduct other tasks as required by supervisor, which are unique to the assigned geographic areaEDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

High school diploma is required and a minimum of two years lease operator experience, Artificial Lift Technician experience a plus2 or more years of production experience requiredAptitude to learn and advance in specialized disciplineMust meet and maintain eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicleMust have knowledge of Echometer or similar equipmentMust have general knowledge of safe oil and gas production operationsMust have an interest in gaining knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of subsurface and surface equipment and operations, it is a plus to have some knowledge of jet pumps and gas lift systemsDemonstrate proficiency with PC based computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Must be able to perform simple math calculations, mechanical aptitude, possess effective writing skills, and have a safe driving recordCandidate must be dependable and able to work overtime, when necessaryCandidate must have interpersonal skills and have ability to work effectively in a team environment

COMPENSATION:

Salary is commensurate with experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and like equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured propane, water, electricity, and waste lines and under all weather conditions. May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required. Must be available for on-call.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50 to 75 pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain. May be required to fit test and perform duties wearing SCBA and WBA.
