JOB DESCRIPTION:The Endpoint Engineer, Principal will be expected to influence the enhancement of processes, procedures and workflows for the Information Systems department. Leads strategy development in the enterprise technical environment. Mentors less experienced team members and provides input on performance evaluations. Leads the team in analyzing issues, identifying root causes, developing, and recommending key work products. Delivers technical solutions managed by Endpoint Engineering which includes traditional Windows and Mac endpoints, Citrix services, and mobile devices. Develops, manages, and tests disaster recovery solutions. Drives and directs quality work efforts including the complex evaluation, development, implementation, integration, and administration of internal and external business solutions. Performs complex and often unique work assignments. Advises management on issues. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Medicine of USC.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree or 14 years of relevant business support and/or IT experiencePreferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE)

Minimum Experience/Accountabilities:

10 years Relevant business support and/or information technology support experienceAdvanced knowledge of designing, installing, maintaining, and configuring Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler and provisioning VMs in VMware ESX and/or Nutanix AHV.Requires a maturing level of analytical ability to find solutions to increasingly difficult technical or administrative problems, to determine economic feasibility or options available, and to assess time involved in system changes.Thorough documentation skills are also required.Must be able to demonstrate experience with Windows Server Operating System, XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, Active Directory and Citrix Group Policies, Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS), AHV and/or ESX hypervisors and experience with system design, capacity planning and capacity management.Must be able to demonstrate expert level experience with Windows Server Operating System, XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, Active Directory and Citrix Group Policies, Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS), AHV and/or ESX hypervisors and experience with system design, capacity planning and capacity management.Requires hands-on expertise with Windows Server, XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS), and Nutanix AHV and/or VMware ESXExpert level SCCM Administrator, Desktop Engineering, and OS customizations.Extensive experience with PowerShell Studio.Extensive experience troubleshooting problems with AD, GPOs, Windows OS, Healthcare applications, and Multi-Factor Authentication.Expert knowledge with hands on experience designing and deploying application packaging, streaming and deployment into traditional desktops while adhering to standard release processes.Knowledge of Network and Firewall requirements for Endpoint managed services.Knowledge of Group Policy and Intune Device management.Experience with Mobile Device Management via Microsoft Intune (or similar MDM platforms) is preferred.Experience creating SQL Databases, generating SQL queries, and simple SQL database maintenance.Experience with PowerBI Report creation and maintenance.Experience with Imprivata Single Sign-On services or similar is preferred.Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred.Requires creative and out-of-the-box thinking.Must be able to communicate the impact and solutions of application/system problems in business language.Requires a professional approach in all situations.Ability to work any hours to support 24/7 operations.Must resolve problems entirely by either completing the work or gathering all of the resources needed for ultimate resolution and continuity of problem management.
