Sr. Firmware Development Engineer
Job Purpose:
In this role, the Sr. Firmware Development Engineer will participate in firmware engineering activities for the VES firmware development group in support of cutting edge data storage products and server product design in Colorado Springs. This person will report to Firmware Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will participate in storage/server product design, drive the firmware engineering requirement and participate in the firmware code development activities on BMC/SES. The candidate will also be responsible supporting field issue related to BMC/SES firmware, and engage with our external partner to resolve problems. The ideal candidate will have successfully track record of independently completing firmware design document creation, firmware code development and unit test activities to ship firmware project on time with good quality.
Nature of Duties:
Working closely with Storage/Server HW design and firmware architects to provide early input on firmware design requirementWorking closely with firmware architects to complete high level design and low level design documentsWorking closely with project team to provide sizing and schedule on given tasksDrive the firmware development effort from design, implementation, unit test, HW & FW integration to finally bug resolution to complete project to GA.Participate in firmware code development and code review processProvide weekly status update to program management on development statusProvide support to field application engineers to debug and resolve problems at the customer siteEducation and Experience :
BS or MS degree in Electrical engineering or computer science8+y
ears of hands on experience in product design, firmware development in a medium or large global organizationExcellent working knowledge of embedded system designPreferred (working knowledge and hands on experience on BIOS/BMC firmware developmentExcellent working knowledge of various OS (Linux, Windows, Unix, etc.)Experienced in Server/Storage system architecturePreferred experience in testing of BMC, BIOS and SES firmware for storage/server applicationsGood system Hardware/Software integration skillsPreferred knowledge of SES, BMC, BIOS testing requirementGood communication skills to interact with external customer and engineering teamProficient with AMI BIOS customizationExperienced in system level problem debug, pr

Range: $110,000 - $145,000
