Bubble.io is a unique platform that combines a no-code design tool, a Turing-complete programming language, and a hosting platform as a service. As a mid-level software engineer at Bubble.io, you will be joining an early-stage, fast-growing company with diverse technical challenges and unlimited scope for engineers to shape the future direction of our product.
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to both product and technical direction, while working closely with senior engineers and learning from your colleagues. The Platform team focuses on building scalable, secure architecture, internal tooling, testing infrastructure, and highly-performant services.
For our Software Engineer I openings, we look for:
At least 1 - 2 years of professional experience, or new grads with multiple internships at startups or companies with strong tech cultures
Diversity of technical background: our team is made up of engineers who have worked with multiple languages and problem spaces
For our Software Engineer II openings, we look for:
2 - 4 years of industry experience as a software engineer, preferably with experience in high-growth startups
Strong fullstack coding skills and the ability to mentor other engineers
Excellent communication skills

While we do not require new hires to be experts in our tech stack on day 1, familiarity and a willingness to learn fast is helpful. Our tech stack includes:
Frontend: Typescript, SolidJS
Backend: Typescript, Node.js, Redis, Postgres, TimescaleDB
Infrastructure: AWS, CDK / Terraform, ECS, Typescript, Elastic

We offer competitive compensation aligned to tier one markets, such as New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle. Our estimated salary for our Software Engineer I role ranges from $102,000 to $138,000 while our Software Engineer II role ranges from $134,000 to $181,000. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
