As a Software Engineer at Evolv, you will work with our small, highly-skilled engineering team delivering solutions to complex business and systems problems. Owning all solutions across the stack using cutting-edge technologies, algorithms, and techniques, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top companies, helping them to achieve their user experience goals.
Your Responsibilities
Advance Evolv AI's suite of applications and tools enabling our customers create, manage and clearly visualize the results of our advanced optimization platformWork with a cutting edge, globally distributed, serverless architecture handling data at massive scaleCollaborate with a small, cross-functional team to prioritize and clarify product improvementsIdentify and implement minimal, well-crafted solutionsImprove stability and maintainability of the codebases you work inApply engineering best practices and design patternsWhat You'll Need
An ambitious attitude and desire to build great things at a start-up paceA deep curiosity and drive to solve our customers' problems and drive valueA track record of having a big impact on the codebaseA practical approach to building - cutting what isn't critical, but not compromising code qualityExpertise in frontend frameworks and libraries such as ReactJSFamiliarity with GraphQLBS in CS / closely related field, or professional industry experience in a related role (4+ years preferred)Strong analytical skillsExperience with cloud applications and services on AWS or similarAbility to communicate effectively with people of varying technical levelsA drive for concise, readable codeStatistics or UX backgrounds are a plusCandidates must be located in the Bay Area, California, USA.

The Salary Range for this role is $145,000-$200,000 per year + equity + benefits.
Evolv's salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Evolv expects to hire for this position at or near the middle of the range. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would Evolv consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
